Remind me again; why are we still using mice and touchpads?

  1. awesome

  2. yeah, they look like stage magicians up there; the way they just basically wave their hands around and make cool stuff happen. awesome, indeed. seems like that would get tiring, though, so I’ll stick with my mouse and keyboard (and corresponding fat ass) for the time being. hehehe

  3. You can all buy into this garbage, it will be outdated once I can plug my brain into a USB 3.0 port as a user interface. Don’t laugh, wired minds have already successfully played games of yore (25 years ago.) Think of the advancements in technology in the past 25 years.

In ten years it will be a waste of energy for me to move – all of my steak, twinkies and beer will be fed directly into my bloodstream. I may become fat but at least I won’t have to interact with any dirty humans.

  4. spugbrap: heh, yeah, i wonder how long it takes for the average user to get tired of using that type of interface. maybe we should just put that kind of interface in a table (the same guy demonstrated a tabletop version of the multitouch screen interface at TED – here’s the video).

umm Clepto?: i think your vision of the future is the most accurate i’ve heard so far! you should be giving talks at these so-called “new technology” conferences to make people realize the truth!
