We chat in an <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Internet_Relay_Chat\">IRC<\/a> channel to keep in touch about our progress, questions, issues, schedules, and whatever else comes to mind.  In the IRC channel there is an <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IRC_bot\">IRC bot<\/a> named <b>inky<\/b> that is used to store occasionally useful snippets of information, such as phone numbers, development server logins, and so forth.  But one of its fun features it that it is able to generate random haikus based on phrases that are taught to it by participants in the IRC channel.  Here are some highlights:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\npelvis and booty<br \/>\nit&#8217;s a crazy chicken world<br \/>\nyou boinked the undead\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\nwhat a flippin tool.<br \/>\nI had a bunch of those too<br \/>\nreally bites my crank\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\nhey, that fragment sucked<br \/>\ngoddamn bill gates and excel<br \/>\nin death&#8217;s dream kingdom\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\nshe wore blue velvet<br \/>\nnever pet a burning dog<br \/>\nrhinoceros?  where?\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\nsounds deafen the ear<br \/>\ni&#8217;m just thorns without the rose<br \/>\nmy skin holds me in\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ah, how it reminds me the good ol&#8217; days when I worked on <a href=\"http:\/\/oranchak.com\/?p=176\">GOOSE<\/a> with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unc.edu\/~jmspille\/blog.shtml\">Jerry<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The development team I am a part of is scattered across the country.
