At appointment talking to Dr. Moffett (sp?). He decides it’s time to schedule the induction.<\/p>\n
We go home, grab our things, then off to the hospital.<\/p>\n
Evening<\/p>\n
We check into triage.<\/p>\n
Waiting with all the nurses. Monitoring BP.<\/p>\n
Finally check into labor room.<\/p>\n
Ambien! Visit from friends. Uncomfortable couch.<\/p>\n
July 15th<\/p>\n
Morning<\/p>\n
Induction was to start early but was several hours late.<\/p>\n
Hold off on epidural as long as possible (did not last long). Labor progresses very quickly.<\/p>\n
One minute, talking to Turmans. The next minute, pushing.<\/p>\n
Seeing the top of schmee’s head. Helping Kathryn push.<\/p>\n
Doctor Garcia enters with BBQ tray. Iris’ head comes out more and more, then in a few moments, she is delivered and everyone is crying.<\/p>\n
They place Iris on Kathryn’s chest; Iris calms down and opens her eyes.<\/p>\n
Later they clean her off while I’m filming.<\/p>\n
Placenta!<\/p>\n
Recovery room<\/p>\n
July 16th in the hospital<\/p>\n
New baby smell<\/p>\n
